Rickenbacker Limited Edition 90th Anniversary 480XC TBG TobaccoGlo Guitar
Rickenbacker Limited Edition 90th Anniversary 480XC TBG TobaccoGlo Guitar
To celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Rickenbacker, the legendary Southern California company released two Limited Edition models that became must-have for fans of the brand. For guitar players, the choice was the 480XC, a unique fish in a sea of similarity.
A modern take on the Model 480, which was discontinued in 1984, the Rickenbacker 480XC features are rarely seen body style that might seem more familiar to Rickenbacker basses, but works perfectly on a guitar like this. It's super comfortable to play, and of course sounds amazing. This is a special guitar, with a tone all its own.
Rickenbacker has also chosen to replace the original’s covered bridge with a Schaller bridge, which should offer improved sustain. As for electronics, there are two classic hot wound Toaster pickups for your classic Rickenbacker jangles. We love the way they sound. This guitar stands out with its sleek black hardware, the brand’s signature checkerboard binding and a Macassar ebony fingerboard adorned with crushed pearl inlays. It's truly stunning.
Rare and instantly collectible, the Rickenbacker 480XC comes in Tobacco Glo and includes with a vintage-style reissue case. These are very hard to get, and most were pre-sold, but we have this one available - don't sleep on it, as it will be gone quickly!
