Fender only offered the HSS version in sunburst for a relatively short period of time. This particular guitar was made in 2015 and was never played. So here's a chance to get a great deal on something you can't anymore!

The American Special series Stratocaster® HSS guitar puts genuine U.S-made Fender quality into the hands of players at any level. It has a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 9.5”-radius fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets. It's a high-output rocker of a guitar, featuring Custom Shop Texas Special™ middle and neck pickups for powerful Texas tone, plus an Atomic™ humbucking bridge pickup for full tonal versatility. This is aided by the Greasbucket tone circuit, which allows you to roll off the highs without adding bass or losing any clarity.
