2015 Fender Custom Shop Journeyman '57 Precision Bass
2015 Fender Custom Shop Journeyman '57 Precision Bass
Introduced in 1951, the Fender Precision Bass was the first solid body electric bass guitar ever produced, and is undoubtedly the most popular bass guitar design throughout music history. The Precision Bass has long been the go bass guitar in studio and on stage, with its stripped back design, minimal controls and split coil pickup offering a huge amount of versatility for a variety of styles.
This 2015 Fender Custom Shop Journeyman '57 Precision Bass accurately recreates the tone and style of a lightly worn late '50s P Bass, with the introduction of the split coil pickup, larger Strat like headstock design and gold anodised pick guard. Constructed from a lightweight 2 piece Alder body, this Precision Bass is finished in Sherwood Green with a Journeyman Relic, recreating the look of an instrument that has accrued a lifetime of light play wear and patina. The one piece Maple neck features a '57 soft 'V' neck profile with a 9.5" radius, and has a very nicely figured grain. The body is fitted with a Custom Shop hand wound '57 Split Coil pickup, along with vintage wiring and wax paper caps.
