Initially created by Martin in the early 2000's, this 2009 Martin OMJM John Mayer signature model is a fitting tribute to guitarist who has had such a great influence on modern guitar playing. Sharing a lot of specifications with those early OM-28JM models, this 2009 OMJM is constructed from an antique toned Englemann Spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, and features the traditionally longer 25.4" OM scale length. The Mahogany neck features a comfortable low profile and 1 11/16ths nut width, with an ebony fingerboard that is inlaid with custom pearl and snowflake dot markers and features John Mayer's signature at the 22nd fret. Other features include an ebony belly down bridge, aged ivoroid binding with herringbone inlay, and an abalone rosette. The guitar is also fitted with a Fishman Gold Plus pickup system.
This guitar is in excellent, all original condition, with no noticeable signs of wear to speak of. This guitar also includes its original hard case.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
