2008 Gretsch G6120 Reverend Horton Heat
2008 Gretsch G6120 Reverend Horton Heat
Reverend Horton Heat has long been at the forefront of the rockabilly renaissance, and this 2008 Gretsch 6120 signature model is the perfect example of why Gretsch guitars are so key to that sound. Built to Reverend Horton Heat's own specs, this guitar incorporates elements of different vintage Gretsch 6120 models, with a western aesthetic found on early to mid '50s guitars, and the pickups and controls associated with the 6120 from 1958 through to the end of the '60s.
Constructed from a laminate Maple body and Maple neck, this guitar is finished in an orange stain nitro lacquer, and fitted with a set of TV Jones Classic humbuckers for an authentically vintage sound. The hollowbody features traditional tressle bracing, along with oversized bound 'F' holes, aged binding and the 'G' logo cattle prod brand. The neck has a slim profile and 12" radius, making it particularly comfortable to play, and features western themed cactus, steer head and fence fretboard inlays. Other features include a BIgsby B6 vibrato, clear pickguard and 125th anniversary plaque on the rear of the headstock. This guitar also includes its original Gretsch case.
This guitar has been given a full service & appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop. This guitar also includes a 3 year warranty.
