2005 Martin Mike Longworth D45
Over the course of his near 30 year career, few can claim to have had more of an influence on modern Martin guitars than Mike Longworth. From resurrecting the classic D45 model to writing the first comprehensive history of Martin guitars, there were few more passionate about Martin guitars than Mike Longworth. This 2005 Martin Mike Longworth D45 was released as a commemorative model in a super limited run of 91 guitars, equal to the 91 pre-war D-45’s produced by Martin.
This guitar combines an Adirondack spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, which along with golden era style scalloped bracing and the dreadnought body shape perfectly recreates the played in, perfectly balanced tone of a pre-war D45, with a tight low ed response and crystal clear highs. The guitar is finished of with plenty of period correct pre war features, including the snowflake fret inlays, abalone rosette and open back Waverley butterbean tuners.
This guitar is in excellent condition, with almost no signs of play wear to speak of. This guitar includes its original case and paperwork. As with all our instruments, this Martin D45 has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
