1996 Martin HD-28 VR
The Martin D-28 has developed a rich history over the years, and is seen by many as a true workhorse acoustic flat top and arguably Martin's flagship Spruce & Rosewood guitar, having been used by countless musicians across folk and rock music. This 1996 HD-28 VR is a modern recreation of those original Herringbone bound D-28 models, featuring a Sitka Spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back & sides. The top is braced with scalloped forward shifted X bracing, making it extremely resonant with a real dynamic range. The neck features a low oval profile that is modern and comfortable to play while retaining a slightly chunkier vintage feel. Other features include a rosewood finger board and bridge along with tortoiseshell pickguard, open gear butterbean tuners and herringbone back seam.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty. It also includes its original Martin case.
