1996 Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster
1996 Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster
Introduced in 1992, the Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Stratocaster pays homage to one of the most influential guitarists of modern times, with a spec derived from his own "Number One" early '60s Fender Stratocaster. This 1996 Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster is a fantastic example of these signature models, with a range of features encapsulating the style and tone of SRV.
This guitar is constructed from an Alder body with a Maple neck and Pau Ferro fingerboard. The neck features a thicker oval profile with a 12" fingerboard radius and 42mm nut width, with a fuller feel in the hand that is still incredibly playable thanks to the flatter radius, much like the original guitar it was modelled on. The body is fitted with a set of Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups, with all the bite and mellow, bluesy tone you would need from this kind of Strat. Other features include gold hardware, and American Vintage synchronised tremolo with left handed orientation, and the SRV logo engraved 3 ply pick guard.
This guitar has been kept in exceptional condition during the course of its life, with barely any signs of play wear to speak of. It is internally and externally original, with the original finish, electronics, single coil pickup and all hardware being present and correct. The pick guard even retains its protective plastic! This guitar also includes a tweed Fender hard case.
This guitar has been given a full service & appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
