1987 Fender Stratocaster MIJ
Japanese made Fender instruments have long been the go-to for musicians looking for guitars with vintage Fender tone and style that won't cost as much as their USA made counterparts. Guitars made by Fender Japan in the '80s & '90s have become somewhat collectible in their own right, with an amazing build quality for the price. This 1987 Fender Stratocaster is a great early example of a FujiGen made Fender guitar. Loosely based around an early '60s style Strat, this guitar features a tinted gloss lacquer maple neck with slab rosewood board, sleek black finish and single ply white guard. The neck profile is a comfortable '60s style 'C', and the body is fitted with a set of vintage voiced single coil pickups that have a darker, more mellow quality to the sound than other Stratocaster of this period that we have played.
This guitar is in very good, original condition, with minor signs of play wear to the finish on both the back and front. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
