1981 Fender Telecaster
1981 Fender Telecaster
This Fender Telecaster from 1981 is an excellent example of a late '70s / early '80s crossover left handed Telecaster. Although the headstock serial number dates this guitar to 1978, the pots date to early '81, and this discrepancy is not uncommon with Fender guitars from this period, where a number of '78 serialised necks were used in to the early '80s. This Telecaster features an Alder body with four bolt neck design and a black finish with black guard. The neck has a typical late '70s profile and is very comfortable in the hand, with the frets only having minimal wear. The original single coil pickups feature all the clarity and top end you would expect from a telecaster bridge, with the traditional mellow sound from the neck position. Other features include the original 'F' stamped tuners and a three chrome barrel saddle bridge.
This guitar is in very good condition, with only very minor signs of play wear visible. The guitar is internally and externally original, with all electronics and hardware as they should be. This guitar also includes a non original hard case.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
