Often underrated when compared to their equivalent Gibson or Martin models, Guild acoustics are some of the finest guitars out there, with their tone and build quality offering great value in the vintage market. This 1970 Guild D35 is a great players dreadnought, with an open, balanced tone and great volume and punch.

This would have been one of the last batch of models to come out of the Guild factory in New York, as the production of all models moved over to the factory is Westerly, Rhode Island, that began making the M20 models in 1967. Constructed from a Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, this D35 has a rich, warm sound with a great deal of projection.

This guitar is in very good condition, with the sort of play wear and patina to the finish that you would expect to see on an acoustic guitar of this age. Our luthiers treated the guitar to reduce a small amount of bellying on the top, and also reglued a split in the bridge. The guitar tuners have also been replaced with a set of Schaller equivalents. Otherwise, this guitar is in all original condition, and includes a period hard case.

As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
