1969 Guild F-50
1969 Guild F-50
Guild F-50's are one of our favourite guitars here at the shop, with the Hoboken made models being some of the most under appreciated instruments in the vintage market. This model from 1969 would have been one of the last few instruments manufactured in the New Jersey Guild factory before the companies move to Westerly, Rhode Island. Featuring a Sitka Spruce top with beautifully figured Maple back and sides, this guitar has plenty of volume but is not overly boomy as some jumbos can be, with a clarity pick responsiveness that is often found in Guilds of this period. The guitar also features the original celluloid guard & gold tuners, and is finished with the traditional G shield headstock inlay and V block fret markers.
This guitar is in excellent condition, with barely any signs of cosmetic wear. The only work carried out on this instrument has been the repair and cleating to some minor top cracks. Other than that, this instrument is in fantastic all original condition, and includes a custom made Calton flight case.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
