1963 Harmony Rocket H-77

For a number of years Harmony guitars have represented some of the best value vintage instruments on the market, with a huge range of shapes and styles across both electric and acoustic models, all with a truly unique tone and sense of style when compared to the Fender, Gibson and Martin instruments of the same period. Harmony guitars, much like Kay, Silvertone & other such brands, were manufactured in Chicago and sold through the Sears Roebuck department store and catalog retailer. The Harmony H-77 Rocket has been popularised in recent years, with players like Dan Auerbach reviving the model and bringing its unique blues rock tone to a new generation of players. 

This 1963 Harmony H-77 is a fantastic example of the model. The H-77 was one of the companies top of the line guitars at the time, and as such features a number of deluxe appointments. The Maple ply body is finished in a vibrant red burst, and fitted with a set of three DeArmond gold foil 'moustache' pickups. Each pickup has its own selector, allowing for a range of combinations and tonal options. The celluloid pick guard and headstock face add a further sense of luxury, along with its original tailpiece and bridge. This guitar is internally and externally original with the exception of a set of Kluson Deluxe tuners that have replaced the original Waverleys. 

This guitar has benefitted from a service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
