Prior to their late '50s acquisition by Gibson, Epiphone were responsible for some of the best arch top guitars of the first part of the 20th century, with their output from the 1930's through to the '50s being cherished by players and collectors alike for their luxurious design, build quality and unparalleled tone. This 1963 Epiphone Broadway Zephyr Regent is a wonderful example of a later Gibson made Epiphone arch top.

The Broadway Zephyr Regent model was one of Epiphone's more deluxe electric archtops from its introduction in 1934, with the electric models joining the range in 1958 after Gibsons acquisition of the company. Constructed from a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, this Broadway features a deep sunburst finish and a range of other deluxe appointments, including 3 ply top and back binding, block pearl fingerboard inlay, Large column pearl headstock inlay and a bound Maple and Walnut neck. The body is fitted with a set of Gibson made mini humbucker pickups, with this particular guitar having one sought after PAF variant and one early Patent No. The Boradway also features nickel hardware, including the distinctive 'Frequensator' tailpiece. This guitar also includes a period hard case.

This guitar is in very good condition with minimal sign of play wear, and is internally and externally original. This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
