Harmony Sovereign guitars were the companies flagship acoustic line, alongside the shorter scale Stella range, throughout the 1950's and '60s, with their unique design giving them a signature tone unlike many other comparable vintage guitars. Like most Harmony acoustics, these guitars have a sound and vibe of their own, with a rootsy, woody tone and chunky vintage style neck. This 1961 Harmony Sovereign Western Princess model is in very good condition for its age, and is one of the rarer models in the Sovereign range, only manufactured for a short time in the early '60s. The Western Princess features a smaller OM body shape, and is constructed from a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, along with a mahogany set neck and rosewood board. The neck is on the chunkier side yet is perfectly comfortable to play, and the ladder braced body gives this guitar a tone that is perfect for finger style or slide playing, with a focused sound with good string definition. As with all these models, this guitar is finished with the signature Harmony Sovereign headstock logo, a set of open gear 3 on a plate tuners and a double rosette around the sound hole.

This guitar has benefitted from a service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and is internally and externally original with the exception of the added tiger stripe pick guard. This guitar also includes a 3 year warranty.
