1960 Gibson ES-125 TDC
1960 Gibson ES-125 TDC
Initially introduced in the 1940's as the companies student model archtop guitar, the Gibson ES-125 has had a number of variants over the years, all of which with their own sound and style, making them a hugely popular and relatively affordable vintage Gibson. This 1960 ES-125 TDC is great example of an early '60s model, with a dual pickup configuration and pointed cutaway design.
This guitar sounds exceptional, with a lively acoustic resonance that pairs perfectly with a dual dog ear P90 pickups that are well balanced and offer a nice woody tone with plenty of clarity. The body is finished in a typically vibrant two tone sunburst with a single bound top, tortoise grain guard and nickel trapeze tailpiece and bridge.
This guitar is in all original condition with the exception of the tuners, although the originals are included in the case. There are some minor signs of play wear and patina to the front & rear of the guitar body, and some more obvious play wear to the rear of the neck, but it is in great overall shape.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
