1960 Framus Sorello
1960 Framus Sorello
The Framus Sorrello was one of a number of thin line arch top electric guitars introduced by Framus in the '60s, and features many of the design elements that make Framus guitars from this period so distinctive. This example from 1960 features a Spruce top and laminated back and sides, with a 'black rose' finish, and is essentially a 3 pickup version of the Sorrento model. The body is fitted with a trio of oval single coil pickups, covering everything from smooth jazz sounds to brighter, janglier tones more akin to '60s rock. The bolt on neck features a chunky yet comfortable vintage style profile. Other features include a trapeze tailpiece, pickup switching controls house in a celluloid pickguard, and open gear tuners.
