Introduced in 1954, the Jupiter was the top of the line model in the new Harmony Stratotone range, designed to be an affordable alternative to the Fender and Gibson electric solid body models of the time and sold through the Sears chain of department stored throughout the 1950s and '60s. This 1957 Harmony Stratotone Jupiter is a beautiful example of a vintage Harmony guitar, in exceptionally clean condition.

Unlike its solid body contemporaries of the '50s, the Jupiter features a hollow body design that adds a real acoustic warmth and resonance to the tone. Constructed from a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, the body is fitted with a set of DeArmond Gold Foil pickups, rightly considered some of the best, most unique sounding vintage pickups around, with a clarity and bite that sets them apart from single coils and humbucker of the time. The neck features a comfortable 'D' shaped profile, with multi ply neck binding and pearl block inlay. This guitar also includes its original two tone chipboard case, in equally good condition.

This guitar is in excellent, all original condition, with barely any signs of play wear to mention, and has been given a full service & appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop. This guitar also includes a 3 year warranty.
